Bio

Genevieve graduated from Lasalle Conservatory’s Theatre & Drama Studies in 2002. Eager to perfect her training, she deepens the mastery of her art through workshops in Montreal, Toronto, L.A. and New York: she enriches her physical acting at Omnibus, learns the ropes and subtleties of on-camera work with Jean-Pierre Bergeron, sharpens her acting tools with Marjorie Ballentine (L.A.), and improves her audition technique at the Alexander Technique Conservatory (NYC). Voice wise, she develops her video game dubbing technique with Sébastien Reading and learns from Joanne Boreham (Toronto) how to do voices for animated characters.

Genevieve began her acting career as a stage performer. She’s part of many plays and public readings. Through Kino Montréal, she got involved in several short films. On television, she appeared in many TV shows such as Eaux Turbulentes, Unité 9 and Blue Moon. Then, her path leads her to Toronto where she works in television and theater in both French and English. Over there, she adds a string to her bow with voice over work. She was the voice of many TV commercials like Becel and xplorenet, she was Splooshie in TFO’s animated Kids show Les Globies, she walked you through exhibitions at the Royal Ontario Museum and dubbed many american TV shows. Her greatest achievement is the bilingual short film, Tête à Tête. In addition to being the writer, she was one of the two leading characters, and performs in both languages. Her film was screened in many film festivals in Ontario, Quebec and the United States.

Genevieve is a passionate actress who wants to make people think as well as entertain them through stories that choose her. For Genevieve, the only truth is the part of oneself we inject into a character to highlight the authenticity of his voice and the reason it’s been written.
